San Giacomo Church

San Giacomo Church

New church building project

The complex of San Giacomo is a catalyst for the area in which is located. By representing a new core for the local community, it promotes socialization, education and interaction within it. The building is structured as friendly and open to the inhabitants, thanks to a light and organic architecture that contrasts with the solid and compact materiality of the historical existing buildings in Ferrara.

The complex foresees the use of local materials, able to relate it to the territory and its ancient rural vocation: thick brick walls are preferred to concrete for their sustainability and thermoregulating power which represent a passive climate control system
