Weaving Architecture – Biennale Venezia 2018

Art installation

A participative space in opposition to an imposed one. A free space that gives a sense of belonging and a sort of happiness. The deeply human and artisanal weaving procedure has inspired an idea that has a close relation to the manual technique and has also the force to humanize spaces, making them free. Weaving is a way of working that applied and experimented in the outskirts of cities that often embody the opposite of what is considered a free area.

Introducing the idea of textile and colors which recall the ancient habit to patterns, creating something very recognizable for people, the aim is to propose an architecture which everybody could perceive as familiar as their own clothing
